Spain's minister of public administration presetnes an award for the valencian community's best project to Marina d'Or Golf

Jesús Ger, Chief Executive of the Marina d’Or Group, has been presented with an award for the Valencian Community’s best company by business magazine Mundo Empresarial Europeo. The presentation was made by Jordi Sevilla, Spain’s Minister of Public Administration.

These nationwide prizes were presented as part of a glittering ceremony held at Madrid’s Hotel Husa Chamartín. Attending the ceremony were prominent figures from the worlds of business, finance and politics. Politicians attending included several presidents and ministers from Spain’s Autonomous Regional Governments, and the mayors of some large cities.

This was the ninth edition of these awards, which are given to businesses and institutions.

In the case of Marina d’Or, based in Castellón and headed by Jesús Ger, the award is a recognition of the Group’s achievements in the areas of tourism and property sales, as well as the innovation it has shown in the development of Marina d’Or Holiday Resort (in Oropesa del Mar, Castellón). Another factor was the significance, both in Spain and abroad, of the company’s plans to build its new resort, Marina d’Or Golf, planned for the districts of Cabanes and Oropesa.

The Jury also took into account the company’s social action through the Marina d’Or Foundation, and the Marina d’Or Group’s continuous expansion at home and in several countries abroad, with the consequent high profile of their brand.

The Minister of Public Administration, Jordi Sevilla, closed the ceremony by drawing attention to the importance of business activity as a driving force of the economy, as well as to the part played by the public sector in economic development.

Jesús Ger, Chief Executive of Marina d’Or, has expressed his satisfaction with the fact that his was the only company in the Valencian Community to be distinguished with this prestigious award, which is a clear gesture of support for the Group’s expansion, and especially for the new Marina d’Or Golf project, which has become a model for tourist destinations worldwide.

Apart from the Marina d’Or Group, some of the other companies receiving awards -one for each of the Automomous Regions of Spain – were Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas (FCC), Sabeco, the San Gregorio Group, Mutua de Navarra and Araba Logistics.

Some of the main institutions to receive awards were Seville City Council, the Queen Sofía Centre for the Arts in Valencia, the Autonomous Region of Madrid , the Autonomous Regional Government of Extremadura and Navarra Council
