The main aim of the Marina d'Or specialised Medical and Beauty Clinic at the Scientific Seawater Spa is to prevent illness and promote holistic health.
.The goal is to prevent illness, diagnosing it in some cases and discovering the risk factors of contracting disease in others, in order to conserve health and live longer, as well as ensuring quality of life throughout those years. We have achieved this by ensuring that health risks do not arise and by preventing the onset and complications of 21st century diseases.
.In order to maintain a good level of health, preventive analyses of blood, urine and saliva are carried out along with medical visits and preventive health checks. A clinical history is compiled, general medical examination; hepato-biliary-pancreatic ultrasound, renal ultrasound, genital ultrasound; echocardiogram, vascular eco-doppler; memory attention test with cognitive exercises, non-invasive polysomnography, thorax, wrist and vertebral column radiographies, bone densitometry; non-invasive coronariography and virtual colonoscopy.

Outpatient Preventive Health Check-Up Program

A Health Centre appointment is arranged to carry out a medical check up and complementary explorations, except radiographies, densitometry and DMD system tests, to be carried out the following week, as the patient requires some prior preparation for these.
To complete the program, the final visit to the clinic involves a medical consultation to assess the results and to hand over the medical dossier.
The Spa Health Centre medical check ups aim to ensure that the average present life span will be achieved and even exceeded, and with the best quality of life and with the cognitive functions and memory maintained intact and in perfect conditions. Preventive check ups not only help to gain extra years but also to improve the quality of those remaining years.
To demonstrate the effectiveness of the preventive check ups a Scientific Document has been compiled as part of a scientific research and development assessment carried out in conjunction with Professors from the Complutense University ofMarina d'Or Specialised Medical and Beauty Centre, the professors in question have enormous experience, both in terms of clinical health and in teaching and research projects.
